Aid Dominick's Journey with Love and Care

Dominick was diagnosed in 2017 with neuroblastoma. He finished initial treatment and then went two years disease free. Since March of 2021, he has been on and off of treatment for relapses. August 8 a tumor ruptured in his head which required emergency surgery for the brain bleed. He then developed hydrocephalus from all the blood and his body could not properly drain spinal fluid. They placed a temporary EVD then he required a shunt. After the shunt he had a very sharp decline. He stopped moving his arms and legs and everything became painful. An MRI scan showed cancer had spread to his brain and spinal cord. At this point we have exhausted treatment options, and even if we tried treatment it would likely not get us to a goal of him being cancer free since it is in his spine. Dom is now on hospice care at home where we hope to stay and care for him ourselves where he is most comfortable. This requires us both to be home to care for Dom.
