I'm a family friend who lives in the Tampa Bay Area. I've known them and their son Eddie for about 12 years. Dolly and Dave were flooded during Hurricane Helene. They are now facing another flood and even more damage with Hurricane Milton. They have lived in the same house for 35 years and never had any flooding. They lost appliances and furniture. They've had to pull up flooring and replace walls, along with personal and sentimental things. They had worked hard all their lives and are now retired. Dave has some health issues, and things are tough for them. Losing your home is so emotionally painful. I know others are going through the same things, but Dolly is the most loving, caring, big-hearted person I've ever known. Anything will be appreciated and will help.
