A friend from my hometown posted a story about a boy in his neighborhood in Braintree who plays football in his backyard with friends. He's gotten to know his family and went on to say this 14-year-old boy and his 13-year-old sister lost their mother a few years back. The kids are in the custody of their 75-year-old grandmother, Denise Thomas, who is now struggling with some serious health issues. To be clear, I do not know the family myself, but hearing the struggles of a family in my town, I wanted to see if I could help in some way.
