Update - surgery is not an option due to the condition of her bones and organs - she has decided to go home and on hospice with her family by her side. Edward refuses to leave her - please help them survive this journey ! Please pray that she can be made at least comfortable !!!

As most of you know, my sister Brenda has been battling stage 4 cancer, Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, for a while now. The cancer has progressed and is now in her bones. She is the true definition of a FIGHTER. On Halloween, while stepping out of her bathtub with assistance, her hip broke, and she is now in UVM Medical Center fighting to see if something can get done so that she might walk again.

Over the many years of fighting this and fighting to be kept off of hospice, they have used up all of their financial resources, and her husband Edward is not getting paid to stay home and help care for her. Whether they are able to do the surgery we do not know as of now, but either way, Edward will need to take the time off to help care for her and provide for her needs. No matter how small the donation, it will all help her two kids and Edward. If you can't donate, please know that just words of encouragement will suffice, and please share, share, share so that staying home to care for her may be one less thing this family has to worry about over the next couple of months.
