Aid Bill's Journey Through Brain Surgery

Donation protected

Hello all,

My dear friend Bill Holliday was having extreme dizziness for a couple of weeks that led him to the ER the day before Easter. They admitted him, and after many scans, labs, and tests, they concluded he has a cyst on his cerebellum.

The primary function of the cerebellum is to coordinate and refine motor movements, maintaining balance and posture. It also plays a role in motor learning, helping the brain adapt and fine-tune movements over time. Beyond motor functions, the cerebellum is increasingly recognized for its involvement in various cognitive processes and emotional functions.

The neurologist at St. Elizabeth's transferred his care to Cleveland Clinic because he's in need of surgery. They got a call from Cleveland on Friday, April 25th, saying their next available appointment is July 15th for a virtual appointment and no surgery until September. They are currently looking for their options in the meantime so Bill can get the surgery as soon as possible because it's affecting his everyday life and he is currently unable to work until his medical situation is under control.

Bill and Hailey are wonderful people who have always helped anyone in any way they can. Now is the time they need a little help from all of us. They have a beautiful family with 4 kids and one more sweet baby girl due in July. I'm just hoping we can help raise money to cover household bills while he is unable to work and recovering after surgery and while Hailey is on maternity leave.

No matter how much we try to plan for the unexpected things in life, sometimes we just have to ride the waves.

Every little bit makes a difference, big or small.

Thank you all in advance.

On Thursday, May 8th, Hailey took Bill to the ER at Cleveland because his symptoms were getting worse, and he was having a really bad headache.

The doctor he was scheduled to see in July was actually the doctor on call that day. They were a little concerned about his symptoms because he could potentially develop hydrocephalus, which is fluid on the brain. After devising a plan, they decided it was best to do surgery the next day!

He had surgery yesterday, May 9th. By the grace of God and steady hands, the surgery went really well. He is in a lot of pain but so relieved. Now, to rest and recover!

Please keep in mind that this will be a long road to recovery for him and his whole family. His fiance is pregnant and going to be taking care of everything and everyone for an undetermined amount of time. What if this was your family? Do not pass up the offer to help because you're worried it's too small. Every little bit helps. Thank you for the continued love and support!!
