Help Bea Heal: Support Her Fight Against Cancer and Homelessness
My mom is facing the fight of her life. Recently diagnosed with stage 3 cancer, she has already undergone major surgery to remove the massive tumor on her cecum that invaded into her abdominal wall, enveloped her right fallopian tube & ovary, and a small portion of her bladder. She is now beginning the long and difficult road to recovery that involves chemo. She has already faced some setbacks in healing with her incision and currently has a wound vac to help with healing. This setback is delaying her chemo start date.
Because of her diagnosis and treatment, she is currently unable to work. She is in the process of applying for disability and SSI (as hopefully temporary income), but as many know, that process takes time—and time is not on her side financially.
To make matters even more difficult, she has lost her housing during this health crisis and is now facing the unimaginable challenge of healing while being without a stable home.
Despite all of this, she remains strong and hopeful. Your donation can help her cover basic needs like:
Temporary housing and living expenses - her church has said they are able to help with a deposit and first months rent. Additional funds would be for the following months, until her disability is approved
Transportation to and from medical appointments
Medications and follow-up treatments
Groceries, toiletries, and other essentials
Every dollar, share, and kind word makes a difference. Let’s show Bea that she is not alone—that there is a community who stands with her in this fight.
Please donate what you can, and help us spread the word.
Together, we can give her the stability she needs to heal.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
