Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
My name is assiya. I reverted to Islam seven years ago, alhamdulillah, and it has been the greatest blessing of my life. Through every trial, my faith has kept me grounded and reminded me that Allah’s mercy is always near.
Recently, I moved to California seeking more freedom to practice Islam and build a peaceful life for myself and my child. But the transition has been very difficult. I don’t have family or support here, and I don’t drive, so I’ve been very isolated and struggling with severe anxiety that has made it hard to work or even leave the house.
I’m doing my best to stay strong, to trust in Allah’s plan, and to keep caring for my home and my child. But right now, I’m struggling to cover basic living needs — things like rent, household bills, food, and therapy that’s helping me heal.
It’s not easy for me to ask for help, but I believe that Allah sometimes sends His mercy through the kindness of others. Any support — financial, through duʿa, or even sharing this — would mean so much. It would help me stay stable, continue my healing, and keep my heart focused on gratitude and tawakkul.
May Allah reward everyone who lends a helping hand, fill your homes with barakah, and ease every hardship in your life. JazakumAllahu khayran for your compassion and for supporting a sister striving to rebuild with faith.
