Aid Amber's Path to Recovery

My name is Meagan and I have started this Go fund me for my friend Amber Orebaugh. Some of you may know Amber and the different challenges life has thrown her way.
If you do not know, Amber is a 37 year old woman who became parapelgic from a car accident at 15. She adjusted to being in a wheel chair and gained her independence back quickly. She has a 14 year old son and her own home. In 2013 she had a medical emergency that resulted in a surgery and extra help for some time. After she healed from that surgery she decided to learn to drive! This made life a breeze for her and her son.
Recently , Amber was hospitalized due to 3, stage 4 pressure wounds. She was septic and required emergency surgery again. She is home now and doing much better. Her wounds will take a lot of time to heal and require alot of appointments (2-3x weekly). When Amber's infection peaked she fell asleep a couple hours on her hand (bending it funny), causing "drop wrist". She has appointments set for more testing to come up with a plan for her wrist. With her wounds and wrist Amber cannot transfer herself into her chair right now. Amber was making cups and at one point shirts for people, she is not able to do that right now. She does have left over made things to get rid of to make space for the new medical supplies. Amber hates asking for help, she loves her independence. She is on a fixed income and it's hard on her to afford the gas for all the appointments among extra supplies that insurance doesnt cover. She is also not eligible for home health at this time, we are working on it. She is also not comfortable or able to use medicaid cabs due to her condition and needing lifted into car. Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you can't donate, please say a prayer , or simply share this!
