Hello, I'm Shelly Kay.

My daughter's family is in need of help at this time. In Amber's own words, here is a brief description of their financial struggles:

"Please know this is hard for me to say. I don't want our tragedies to be public. I don't want to need help, but I do. So, here's the situation:

Starting with the good, Leo now owns a mobile motorcycle mechanic business and is great at finding the work that he loves to do when he feels well enough to do it. He also bartends at Cochinito Taqueria and loves what he does there as well.

Dream still loves sports and is also getting super interested in the drama class at her school. She loves listening to music, volunteering through her youth group and baking sweets with her friends in the middle of the night!

Lyric is one now and is such a joy to be around. He loves 4-wheeling with Leo, eating lots of snacks and dancing to deep beats!

We have baby #3 on the way who will be joining us in November. We are beyond thrilled that we get to have our one-last-chance baby.

On to the awful side of life: at the beginning of this year, Leo's health and vitality really took a turn. His lymph nodes stopped properly draining and he was forming lymph edema in multiple places in his body. The cancer cells were stealing his energy before he had a chance to utilize any of it so he was spending a good 60% of his life sleeping. Once his heart started racing randomly, we had to make the hard decision to start treatment. For the next five months, he will be going in every 28 days for chemo and immunotherapy. He has already undergone two treatments and they leave him mentally and physically exhausted for at least ten days. He is very much unable to work during this time. On top of that, he doesn't regain his full strength before going in to the next treatment so a lot of motorcycle work is off the table for the year. We are pretty far behind on rent and spending a huge portion of our free time chasing community resources to keep our family fed and clothed.

So what do I need from anyone who's able?

*I need groceries and gift cards

*I need financial support for day to day necessities and rent."
