Hello, My name is Miriam Faris. I am reaching out to you from the United Kingdom with a plea from the depths of my heart. I originally set up this fundraiser to provide a lifeline for my beloved nephew, Ahmad, and his family as they endure unimaginable hardships in Gaza.

Tragically, our family has recently been shattered by the devastating loss of Ahmad's beautiful wife, Aseel. She was taken from us far too soon by the violence of this war, leaving behind a heartbroken husband and their precious son, Khaled.

Now, more than ever, they need our support. This is Ahmad's story, in his own words:

In Ahmad’s Words:

My name is Ahmad Fares, and I am from Gaza.

I never imagined I would ever have to ask for help, but I have reached a point where I have no other choice. During this war, our lives changed completely. We were forced to flee from place to place, losing our home and everything we owned.

The hardest moment of my life was losing my wife, Aseel. A sudden explosion took her from us, leaving me alone with our son, Khaled, who was only 4 years old at the time.

Today, Khaled is 6 years old. Every single day, he looks at me and asks:

“Baba, why does every other child have a mother, but I don’t?”

And I cannot find an answer to give him.

Aseel was a kind, vibrant, and life-loving soul. Her absence is not just an unbearable pain—it is a massive void in every single detail of our daily lives.

My Mother’s Critical Health Status

My mother, Wafaa, is suffering from a serious, life-threatening heart condition. She has previously undergone catheterization and surgical procedures under incredibly difficult circumstances, but today, she has no access to consistent treatment, regular medication, or adequate medical care.

There are days when I am forced to carry her in my own arms just to reach a place where she can receive basic medical assistance. Every single time I pick her up, I am terrified that this time might be her last.

I Am the Sole Caregiver

I am Khaled’s father and Wafaa’s son. I am now completely alone in the responsibility of caring for them under these dire conditions. I am trying my hardest to be the father, the mother, and the nurse for my family all at once.

I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a chance to protect what is left of my family.
