Help get Don Lockhart a home
Donation protected
I met Don Lockhart while serving meals at the Loudoun Homeless shelter and became good friends. He is a sweet elderly man that would never ask for help, but he’s at a low point. He was a skilled musician and business man with his own music equipment business for 20+ years. He became a choir director for numerous churches. Over time the bank accounts disappeared, he became unemployed, and ended up homeless.
To get him back on track, I helped put together his resume, introduced him to LinkedIn Jobs, and walked him thru how to apply for jobs. After a day or two, he had numerous calls and interviews set-up. He starts a new job at FedEx on May 7th, but he needs funds to help him get into a home.
Even in darkness, Don has been helping many people out, from bringing alcoholics to AA meetings, helping the sick, and more. This fund is to help him get back on his feet.
He has auto insurance ($362), gas to get to work for a month or two before paychecks kick in ($200), groceries ($300), down payment on a place to stay and first months rent ($500-600 down and another $500-600 to cover first month’s rent).
