Hi! My name is Scott, from Ahmic Harbour, Ontario Canada.

My wife, Terri and myself, moved to this most beautiful community this past year after cottaging here for over 20 years. We became friends with Ted, from Trader Ted’s, a general store that Ted has been running for over 46 years. I had mentioned to Ted that there was a nice flat piece of land on his property that would be ideal for a community garden. Ted was on to that and without my knowledge, had a large portion tilled by his friend Dr. Ian Weir before the snow hit the ground in 2024. A possibility in the near future would be to have children, in a class group, come to the garden and learn about growing food. Moving forward, we are looking to raise funds for fencing, lumber for raised beds, an irrigation system and all the tools necessary to build and maintain the garden. All donations are appreciated and also a big thanks for the triple mix donation from Fowler Construction and 1st Choice Landscaping for the delivery.
