Aheza Project in Rwanda

Donation protected
Hi everyone! Our team is currently in Rwanda working in Ntarama, helping to restore the Aheza Healing and Career Centre (www.aheza.org.rw). The Aheza centre is primarily dedicated to supporting the survivors of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, providing counselling, group therapy and activities aiding mental health like their Monday afternoon yoga (which we have been very excited to join in with)! They are such an amazing group of people and we are incredibly privileged to be spending so much time with them.

Our team has already contributed enough of our own funds to get us started, but we need to raise as much more as we can to finish the job to a high quality. The funds raised will be spent on plastering and painting all the inside and outside walls, repairing their humidity damage, installing a water pump for running water, paving the driveway and back paths, laying grass, finishing installing the ceiling, and for general repairs of lightbulbs, toilet seats etc. We’re working with Fidele, from Aheza, and local community members: brothers Blaise and Bruce, both civil engineers, Emmanuel, a graduate of public health, and Frodouard, the head of security at Aheza, to name a few. There have been so many wonderful people throughout!!

Every dollar counts so please donate whatever you can! Any excess funds will be donated directly to the centre to help them continue their incredible cause.

Thanks!!
