On September 4th, Mike, our pooch Skye, and I will be walking the entire West Highland Way — 96 miles in 7 days — in honour of my amazing dad, Brian Jones.

For the last 4 years, we’ve been living with the heartbreaking reality of dementia. It’s devastating watching such a strong, kind, caring, and incredibly hard-working man slowly disappear in front of our eyes.

Dad always gave everything for his family, working long, gruelling days, and still making sure we had the best. Now, we’re doing this for him.

We’re aiming to raise £4,000 to support:

1. Newark Dementia Carers Group – a lifeline for Dad and Mum, where they go twice a week for activities, support, and community.

2. Dementia UK – to fund vital research into better treatments and, one day, a cure.

Every step we take is for my dad, for my family, and for every family fighting this cruel disease.

I know £4,000 is a big goal, but I believe in the kindness and support of you all.

We’ll be sharing daily updates during our walk — expect plenty of photos, sore feet, and Skye’s adventures along the way
