Complete Wellness CIC & ZOA CIC Empowerment — Ending Period Poverty Together

My name is Simone, and I am the Managing Director of Complete Wellness CIC (UK) and ZOA CIC Empowerment (Ghana).

Complete Wellness CIC is a community‑driven organisation dedicated to health, empowerment, and sustainable wellbeing.

Our mission is to create lasting change through education, outreach, and compassion — helping individuals and families thrive physically, mentally, and socially. Through our expansion into Ghana with ZOA CIC Empowerment, we are committed to removing barriers and advancing lives in rural communities.

During our recent outreach in Agogo, we discovered a pressing need: many women and young girls cannot afford sanitary towels or basic feminine hygiene products.

This lack of access affects their health, their dignity, and their education. We were also shocked to realise that right here in the UK, period poverty is a hidden cry — quietly affecting women and girls who suffer in silence.

Across both countries, the message is the same: period poverty is real, it is harmful, and it must end.

To address this, we are raising funds to:

Reusable sanitary pad kits (lasting 3–5 years)Feminine health and hygiene workshops that build confidence and long‑term wellbeing

Each reusable pad kit costs approximately GHS 80 (£5.00) — a small amount that makes a life‑changing difference. Your support will help us restore dignity, protect health, and empower women and girls across Agogo and the UK.

Together, Complete Wellness CIC and ZOA CIC Empowerment are committed to ending period poverty — one girl, one woman, one community at a time.

To strengthen this mission, we are hosting a Stop Period Poverty Sponsored Walk on 1st November.

This walk is more than an event — it is a statement of solidarity with women and girls who deserve access to basic hygiene, safety, and dignity.
