Alva Glen is looked after by Alva Glen Heritage Trust and our local volunteers.

Please donate to cover our costs so we can keep the glen beautiful and accessible for people and maintain it as a haven for wildlife.

We receive no financial support from the council or government.

The Glen is valued and visited by locals, visitors, families, couples, people of all ages, hikers, dog walkers, scouts, local school groups and wonderful wildlife, both rare and familiar.

Our regular volunteer work sessions bring people together, working outside in nature and boosting their mental and physical wellbeing.

We meet on the first Sunday of every month (except January) in Alva Glen car park at 10am, work till 12 then have cake together. All welcome, no need to book, just come along. All equipment, gloves, high vis etc will be provided. Wear sturdy shoes and dress for practical work outdoors, appropriate to the weather.
