Honestly the whole campaign is for my friend Tobias, an evil goth player, who comes from the poor baltic/east german area. As we players know from the Babarossa campaign, the slavs/goths in the east were occupied by the Teutons and were also often defeated in battle. A reason for the defeat was the always feared lag or as i would put it delicately a fucked up PC. In the end Tobias could not succeed and did not bring the Goths to the golden age because the Teutons, Franks, Spanish and other cultures were more advanced with SSD-cards, 16 GB RAM, external graphic cards and technologies beyond imagination.
This guy had the ability, the knowledge and the strength to compensate these technological advances in the past but now he fears an even greater threat. He becomes a father and builds his own home base leaving him with limit ressources. The Gold is almost gone, only a few sheep are remaining. Will it be enough?
Therefore he needs support from his team, from the Age of Empires community and from Jesus of course to keep his Age of Empires skills alive in these dark ages of duplicating. We have to show him what the Age of Empires community can do. We have to show him that we are not investing all of our money in Dodgecoin but that we are capable of helping a men in need.
In the end I just want to say that even his wife became a better player so he is truly desperate to step up his game. And we are convinced that a new technology like a good computer will help.
