My name is Torre Green. I lived a life of chaos, making destructive decisions that led me down a path of criminal activity, substance abuse, and unhealthy relationships. My life was once defined by darkness and desperation. But in the midst of that turmoil, God met me, and through His grace, I learned to walk by faith. It hasn’t been an easy journey, but I’ve discovered the beauty of redemption in every area of my life—spiritual, vocational, personal, and relational. The transformation I've experienced is nothing short of a miracle, and now, I feel a deep calling to help others who are struggling, especially the unsheltered.
The Lord has put a specific desire in my heart to reach out to the homeless community in a personal and meaningful way. Through Agape Outreach, I want to share the love and hope that only God can provide. It’s not just about giving out resources; it’s about building relationships and showing people that they matter, that they’re loved, and that they have not been forgotten. I feel called to meet people where they are, just as Jesus meets us in our brokenness. Whether it’s through a simple conversation or prayer, I want every interaction to reflect God’s unconditional love.
Along with sharing God’s love, Agape Outreach will provide essential resources to help ease the burdens many homeless individuals face daily. My heart is to distribute meals, hygiene products, city bus tickets, and seasonal items like blankets and gloves in the winter or sunscreen and water in the summer. These small yet significant acts of kindness can make a world of difference, giving someone not just physical relief but a reminder of God’s provision and care. My goal is to serve both their immediate needs and offer them hope for the future.
I’ve already set aside $100 to begin Agape Outreach, and I plan to continue supporting the ministry as it grows. However, I am asking for help to secure the long-term sustainability of this mission and to serve the homeless community more effectively. Your contributions will ensure that we can continue providing vital resources and expanding our reach to meet the increasing needs of the unsheltered. Together, we can create a ministry that not only helps meet physical needs but also restores hope and dignity in the name of Christ.
"Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13, ESV).
