After Breast Cancer Diagnosis, in memory of Mary Huckle
Donation protected
Hi everyone, on Saturday 3rd May, myself, Justin, Caroline and Ciro will be climbing the 3 peaks of Saddleworth in memory of my big sister, Mary Huckle, and to support a really important organisation that was very close to her heart.
Everything we raise will go to support the After Breast Cancer Diagnosis motivational retreats, a weekend experience for breast cancer patients to connect with other patients through physical activity and peer support.
Many of the walkers have themselves had primary breast cancer or are living with incurable metastatic (secondary) breast cancer. Most of them will have attended one of the abcd motivational exercise retreats at some point, and this is their way of giving something back to these amazing weekends.
Milly attended one of these retreats in 2021, and she absolutely loved the experience - the walks, the beautiful scenery, the friends she made...and that's why we're doing this hike, in memory of her, and all the others that have been on these retreats and lost their lives to this terrible disease. We will be remembering them all and reading out their names on the last summit.
Jo (extraordinary human) has been living with incurable breast cancer for over 11 years, and she is one of the lucky ones. Jo, works so hard to deliver these retreats and we are so happy to do this walk and to help her continue her amazing work.
Please donate and share this fund raiser if you can, as every little helps to further support patients and provide them with a truly memorable weekend of exercise, support and life long friendship.
Thank you, S, J, C & C xxxx
