After all she’s done, it’s time to give back

Hi April here, I am fundraising for the kindest person I know, my cousin Charlene. After 15 years of battling Kidney disease, Charlene Rivera, is losing the war. Multiple medications, doctor visits, procedures, and prayers failed; the only thing left is a kidney transplant. Along with the transplant lists she has been placed on, there are some promising candidates for kidney donation. I know that I may not be there to support her or give her one of my kidneys physically, but I can call on the community to help lighten the medical burden. We are trying to raise money for the expenses related to kidney matching with the candidates, surgeries, medications, hospital stays, etc.

Charlene has always supported others, from her husband Roberto and 3 beautiful kids (Jeremiah, Matthew, and Alma) to playing the part of the designated therapist for anyone who may need her. She gives more than anyone I know to her community, such as teaching classes at her church or adopting any dog in need. As a lifelong giver to others, it is time for a small donation to help her through this time.
