Casey - African Adventures - Kenya - Volunteering 2026

Hi, I am Casey and I am 13 years old. In March 2026 I will be volunteering for 8 days with African Adventures in Kenya through the Port Vales Schools partnership to support the amazing young people with education and sports coaching.

African Adventures have been making a difference since 2009 in Ghana, Kenya and Zanzibar supporting over 20,000 young people in Africa. In Kenya’s fourth largest city, where small-scale agriculture, manufacturing and tourism are the main industries. In the communities where they focus their work, the cost of an education is out of reach for many, so they work with schools that have been set up by local people to give children the chance of a better future.

I have created a go fund me page to help to support the travel cost for this amazing opportunity. Over the next 18 months I will be thinking of different fundraising events so that I can try to raise as much money as possible to help these wonderful families.

I realise that many things that I take for granted would be an absolute privilege for some of these families in Kenya. I want to experience their culture, help as much as I can and also learn from them.
