Malawi Africa-Orphanage Volunteer

In Africa’s poorest villages, HIV/AIDS, orphaned children and poverty are at overwhelming levels and support structures are very low. Institutional models of care, such as hospitals and orphanages, are overwhelmed and unable to cope with the sheer volume of needed care.
The goal of Hands at Work is to care for 100,000 orphaned and vulnerable children through its unique model of community care. As the local church is mobilized in each African community to unite and reach out, they are equipped to provide holistic support to the most vulnerable children and families in their community, including access to food, education and basic health care.
I have committed 2 weeks in April 2018 to work with Hands at Work in the orphanage in Chinkhu Community, Malawi Africa. The cost to participate is $4,000 CAD. This cost covers flights, transportation, accommodation on the compound, visa's, food and other necessities.
I have never been great at asking for help. Those of you that know me well, are probably surprised that this page even exists! Without your help, I won't be able to go. Plain and simple. So as rare as it is, I am reaching out to ask if you would help me reach me goal of $4,000 so that I can go lend a hand and heart, in the Chinkhu Community Orphanage in Malawi Africa.
