GSMSG Afghanistan Extraction Flights

[Updated 08232021 at 1057 EST]

Conditions in Kabul, Afghanistan are rapidly deteriorating and thousands will die unless YOU do something about it. Thousands of US and Afghan citizens are standing outside of Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA) waiting for aircraft to fly them to safe havens around the world but not enough aircraft are landing.

Our plan – We currently have a large commercial aircraft and crew that can be wheels up within 48 hours but the window for us to land at HKIA in Kabul is rapidly closing. We can ferry approximately 120 personnel at a time and will do as many trips as funding allows but we still lack the funding to get the bird off the ground. For every $200k we raise we can evacuate an additional 120 people but time is running out. That’s less than $1,800 per life saved!

Who we are – We are a non-profit 501(c)3 medical humanitarian group and have a team of former US Special Operators and medical experts with a successful track record of operating in austere settings and conflict zones such as Iraq in the fight against ISIS and other countries in South America and Africa.

What YOU can do – Please donate and share across your network and social media. Any amount you can donate will get us closer to being able to acquire an aircraft to get our team on the ground, and to help extract as many people as possible. We'll be damned if we sit around and just send our thoughts and prayers. GSMSG is not about waiting around. If you know anything about our teams of elite special operations veterans and medical professionals, you know we are about action and we cannot and will not stand by idly while an avoidable humanitarian disaster unfolds.

------------

Situation Report - Right now there are thousands of US and Afghan citizens trapped at the Kabul airport and throughout the city. The Taliban have taken over and control all access to the airport. As if that isn't bad enough, they now have access to biometric data with detailed identity information allowing them to target and execute those who they view as a threat. Who are they? Who are the people you are going to try and help save? They are women and children who face death or being turned into sex-slaves. They are progressive thinkers, artists, and educated individuals whose ideas are a threat to the Taliban. They are Afghan soldiers, law enforcement, and interpreters who for two decades stood by us and our NATO forces in an effort to make their country into something better. They are people yearning to just exist and live a life as they choose. These are the people who YOU can help save. It is up to us to try and get those Afghan citizens out.

So what next - The clock is ticking and when the time is up, the airport will be overrun by the Taliban. We don't know how much longer this population has before they are overtaken and eliminated. As of right now, the Taliban forces are already executing those known to be sympathizers or supporters of the US throughout the country.

If we do not raise the threshold amount for a charter jet, we will put 100% of the funding raised towards other GSMSG operations to extract and recover US and Afghan citizens trapped in what remains of that country.  Through years of service, GSMSG has developed strong ties to many Afghan citizens on the ground willing to help get as many of their fellow citizens to safety as possible. At the very least, we can cover the "repatriation" bill of $2000 per person that the US State Department charges to each person brought back to the US.

We can do it but we need your support. Thank you for your consideration.

Updates will be provided as often as operational security will permit without putting those we are trying to help or our own deploying team members at risk.
