My uncle in Afghanistan has started an orphanage that will house, take care of, and provide for any kid that doesn’t have a home. It’s open to anyone and everyone. This will keep kids off the streets, fed, and out of danger. He can’t do this alone though, there’s only so much his money will cover. Because of this, I’ve started a GoFundMe page to raise money for all the kids in the orphanage. Our goal by the end of the year is 10,000 which will go towards food, clothing, shelter, and other basic necessities that the kids will require. As of right now his orphanage is home to 30 kids and it’s growing. These kids are taken off the streets where they’re prone to stray missiles, bad weather, Taliban recruitment, and sexual assault. The goal is to get these kids fed, groomed and out of harms way. The next step is to create a school system for the women and girls to get education.

This money will also cover a woman’s center built by the same charity organization. The goal is to get a computer lab and buy 20 computers which will help girls learn English, assist in education and taking online classes.

UPDATE: WITH THE AWARENESS RAISED FROM THIS CAMPAIGN WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SECURE A TRAINED VOLUNTEER TO TEACH A NURSING CLASS TO THE GIRLS OF THE CENTRE AND HELP CERTIFY THEM FOR CPR
