Help a Father Detained by ICE Reunite with His Family

Hi everyone,

We’re fundraising for our friend, Moe Rahman, who is currently being detained by ICE after a routine visa check-in — the same check-ins he’s been faithfully attending for over 15 years.

He moved to the U.S. from Bangladesh when he was just 5 years old and has called Southern California home ever since. He grew up here. He built a life here. He’s a father of two young daughters and his wife is five months pregnant with their third child.

Now, after decades of playing by the rules and doing everything asked of him by immigration officials, he was suddenly taken into custody — no warning, no preparation, and no way for his family to handle this alone.

His wife is doing everything she can to keep their life from falling apart. She’s juggling work, pregnancy, and caring for two kids while driving across town to deal with school pickups, appointments, and now legal meetings. One income simply isn’t enough to survive in SoCal, especially with a baby on the way and mounting legal bills.

We’re raising funds to help cover:

Legal fees to fight his detention and prevent deportation

Daily living expenses (rent, groceries, school supplies, etc.)

Childcare and support for his wife while she continues to work

Travel costs for family visits and legal proceedings
