Hi all, 

My name is Gabriella and I am a 4th year biology student at UC Santa Barbara. This upcoming June of 2017, I have been given the opportunity to travel with UCSB’s Global Dental Brigades to Nicaragua. Global Brigades is an international non-profit organization that aims to improve the quality of life in under-resourced communities. Dental Brigades will be traveling with the Medical Brigades team along with practicing dentists, doctors, and many student volunteers to provide access to healthcare in rural communities. The first 3 days of the trip will be focused on running clinics, and the final 4-6 days aimed at other aspects of the community such as architecture, environmental, public health, and water. Your support will go towards travel, supplies, and will allow me to take part in the extensive work our team will be doing. 

Many of us have been fortunate enough to live in a country where healthcare is a standard. With your help, we can give back to those who have gone their whole lives without.
