Message from the Roshni Learning Center:
Project Roshni is a nonprofit organization aimed at helping young children in India receive a decent education. We provide the students with free stationery, school bags, and lunches which urges them to keep attending school. Our goal is to teach the children enough English and arithmetic to be able to learn online themselves or help them attend school. There are no fees for attending these schools, and the teachers are all volunteers offering us their time. Therefore to keep Roshni running, we need generous donations from you, our audience. Without your support, we wouldn't make it this far, and without your support, we won't be able to continue or provide free food, stationery and school bags to these children. Our aim is to open hundreds of schools in India, to educate young girls and boys in the rural region, where often many children are not able to attend school.
Even after thousands of government schools being opened across the country, many children in India do not attend school. Government schools do not charge any fees for their tuition and provide free food for their students. So WHY are there still children left over?
