Hi, my name is Rebecca Tonks, and I’ve set up this GoFundMe to help raise funds for an incredible opportunity with my Sixth Form, Alsager School. In the summer of 2026, I’ll be traveling with Camps International to Tanzania for four weeks to make a real difference in local communities. The trip’s goal is to support projects that improve the local environment, enhance facilities at schools, and help teach students English. This experience is close to my heart as my friend Zainah and I, alongside another classmate, proposed this idea to our amazing teacher, Mrs. B-Smith, who then worked to make it happen. To take part, each student needs to raise £5,000 to cover the costs, which include flights, vaccinations, food, water, and other essentials. While this GoFundMe will help me reach part of that target, I’ll also be participating in other sponsored activities and challenges to raise additional funds. I would be incredibly grateful for any contribution you can make, whether it’s a few pennies or a few pounds.
