Advocate for Mental Wellness in Dallas

Tax deductible
According to the CDC’s most recent survey of Texas residents in 2024, 22% of adults report symptoms of an anxiety or depressive orders. 16.9% of the same survey group reported to be uninsured. Mental health conditions, like anxiety and depression, can substantially diminish a person’s quality of life and even be fatal.

To address this issue, it is imperative that we, as a community, come together and advocate for mental wellness for our neighbors!

Mental health America of greater Dallas is a non-profit organization that promotes mental wellness through community education and policy advocacy. Founded in 1947, MHA Greater Dallas serves more than 100,000 people each year through their education programs.

Donations to MHA support community outreach, advocacy for mental health, and numerous programs like:

• WHO [We Help Ourselves], which teaches children and adolescents to help protect themselves against violence and reduces fights and suspensions in schools.
• Mothers and Babies, a five-week course that helps reduces stress and promotes healthy mood management to combat postpartum depression.
• Mental Health First Aid, a training for individuals looking to help others who are struggling with mental health concerns.
• And more! Check out the MHA Greater Dallas for a full list of all their programs! https://mhadallas.org/
