Friends, family, and TikTok fam-- it's October, which also means it is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. As a survivor of domestic violence, I have tried every year to use this month to bring awareness to the issue that plagues households across our country. On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. During one year, this equates to more than 10 million women and men. 1 in 15 children are exposed to intimate partner violence each year, and 90% of these children are eyewitnesses to this violence.
This year, I finally have a platform (thank you TikTok) to achieve something awesome. So far, over half a million of you have followed me for my stories, authenticity, and FBI training. Out of the 500,000-- I am asking that just 20,000 of you donate $1. For less than the cost of a cup of coffee, you can help me give vital help to children and victims of crime.
