I am on a mission to raise money in order to benefit The Stroke Association and any donation will help make an impact. Last year my Nana Ann suffered from a stroke. This was a shock to us all as she was active, independent and healthy. Now she is receiving care and no longer mobile without the help from a wheelchair and nurse. Last summer my dad (Adam) suffered from a Transient Ischaemic Attack (TIA), often called a "mini-stroke.” This is a temporary blockage of blood flow to the brain that causes stroke-like symptoms, usually lasting for a few minutes to an hour and resolving within 24 hours. It causes no permanent damage but serves as a critical warning for a future stroke. I want to raise awareness to this topic as much as possible and help others understand it can happen to anyone. This is why I am taking myself to complete the Alta Via 1, a 120Km 9 day hike across the Italian Alps in June (solo) This is my Adventure for Ann and Adam. For all those people suffering from the effects and losses of stroke,  I hope we can work together to raise money for more amazing people going through the same situation.
