Advance The WATER Project Cause
Donation protected
Our community is at risk. The Jefferson-Chalmers WATER Project is a community-based, community-driven and community-supported initiative to find resilient solutions to the water resource and climate challenges in our community. Surrounded by natural and enclosed waterways, creating sustainable solutions is tantamount to ensuring the survival of a beloved community - an affordable, diverse and vibrant place where people can live, work, play, recreate and find refuge.
Funds will be used to:
- Celebrate African-American History in partnership with Michigan Technological University's History Program leveraging over $18,000 from MTU;
- extend our Intern's contract;
- support the production and distribution of the Grand Marais Gazette;
- underwrite participation in upcoming state and international conferences; and
- ensure The WATER Project has the technology and administrative resources necessary to propel it's important mission.
NOTE: An resident of Jefferson-Chalmers has anonymously provided the Lead Gift of $2,000 and our first sponsor has committed $1,400.
