I've always dreamed of being a mom and I have wished so badly to raise a child with Jeremy, but my body had other plans for me/us. However, my niece, Tayea, has blessed us with the opportunity to make that dream come true, through adoption.
We knew it would still cost quite a bit for legal fees with a private adoption, but we weren't prepared for the actual number when all is said and done. Although this was an unexpected surprise, we had some money in savings, and thought we would be fine...but it turns out, that didn't get us as far through this process as we expected. On top of that, any maternity leave I take from work will be unpaid because I haven't been at my job very long and don't have the PTO available. We planned on paying bills with our savings during that time, but we don't have that anymore.
My friend Kyla was nice enough to start this fundraiser for us and even though asking for help is one of the hardest things for me to do, here I am...asking for help. If you aren't able to donate, a share would be greatly appreciated. Thank you to everybody that has already donated. You have no idea what it means to us to have your support.

I saw all of the love with which friends and family showered this couple on their wedding day! I know that so many of us would love to ease the burden of the adoption costs so they can focus on their new bundle of joy, not how they will pay for everything. Steph would never think to turn to gofundme to ask others for help--but I would. I have seen miracles happen through gofundme and the generosity of others.
