adoption of our grandaughter

On June 5th, our daughter lost her fight with ovarian cancer at the age of 37.  She was in the process of removing parental rights from her ex, that is in prison for the second time for drugs and violent crimes.  Unfortunately, she passed away before she could complete the process. The social worker told us he could show up at our door and take her away, and there was nothing we could do. We contacted a lawyer confirmed that the only cause of action we could do was to file for adoption.  The cost to formally adopt Addie is 8 to 10 thousand dollars. We love our granddaughter very much. Addie and our daughter Tiffany lived with us ever since Addie was born. The thought of losing our granddaughter to a person who has a violent history and has spent little time with her breaks my heart. With all the expenses of our daughter’s treatment and raising our grandaughter, we are praying for help to adopt Addie and guarantee she is raised with us.

Addie is six years old and an amazing little girl who likes to dress up and has already suffered through the loss of her mother. We pray she can stay with us - the only family she has ever known. We are a proud and stable family, but for the first time, we need help to keep this family together.  We know times are tough for everyone, but if you can help in anyway , we would be forever grateful.
