Hello, we are the Brant Family!
We are adopting a baby and we need your help! The attorneys fees, assessors, and home study are not cheap. Please read our story and if you are so moved or inclined, please donate to help us bring this baby home. We thank you so much for the outpouring of support.
More than anything that comes from this, I want people to see the sacrificial and truest love a mother is giving her child. Our niece came to us to say she was pregnant and was unable to provide everything she desired for the child to have and was choosing to adopt the baby out. Without hesitation, we said we wanted to adopt her baby unless it would be too difficult on her. She accepted the proposal and we all jumped into action. It’s not my place to publicly share her reasons for choosing this, but I can say I am proud of the maturity and grace with how she handles herself. What she is doing is truly noble, courageous, and more loving than anyone can know. She is my hero and this baby will undoubtedly see her mother as extraordinary, too. She chose life despite the harsh reality of a judgmental world. She chose humility and responsibility over secrecy and flippant regard for human life. Today I got to hold her hand as we both listened to the heart of our baby. That beautiful strong heartbeat that is the undercurrent of all life. I can still hear that swishing as I lie here writing this. I wanted to share a photo tonight, but we didn’t get one yet! Instead, we are awaiting the blood result and will announce the gender soon. In the meantime, I will be figuring out ways to fundraise the money needed to pay the associated court costs and legal fees. Be praying for us all as we navigate these uncharted waters. I hope in all this, Alyssa is commended for her loving kindness and maternal instinct. You know of course I cannot leave God out of this who Himself adopted or grafted me into His everlasting and eternal kingdom.
“In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will…" Ephesians 1:5. Why should Christians especially love adoption? Because each and every Christian was adopted into God’s family! Adoption is simply an overflow of what God has done for us.
