Adoption Fundraiser for the Velascos

Hey Family and Friends!

My name is Aimee Salazar. I've known Edinson for more than 30 years and during that time he met the love of his life, Melissa. Edinson and Melissa became the Velasco's and I've watched them make the move out-of-state due to Edinson joining the military, and then moving back home to Texas. I decided to make this fundraiser and share a little more about their Journey to expanding their family.

They have been married for over 10 years and started trying to grow their family since 2015. In 2017, they sought answers to their difficulty getting pregnant. It was later that year that Melissa was diagnosed with endometriosis and received an initial surgery that made her medical issues worse. Unfortunately, after 6 years of trying and 3 surgeries, their goal of conceiving is no longer an option due to a hysterectomy for adenomysosis in 2021.

They still have a goal of expanding their family and have chosen to start the process for adopting a baby in the USA (Domestic Infant Adoption). With everything they have gone through medically and personally, they decided the best option for adoption was the most straight forward option. I have learned the high cost of adoption and have decided that this is the way I can help them achieve their dream of having a child.
