Adoption Fund: Help Heather & Greg adopt a child

After trying to have a child of their own for several years -- with the countless tears, disappointments and let-downs that come with infertility -- Heather and Greg have finally taken the step towards adoption. While they have always considered adoption part of their life dream, the expense and uncertainty makes it difficult for many parents who hope to adopt.

Now, Heather and Greg have been accepted at an adoption agency that offers a 95% success rate of connecting them with their future child. They've already prepared to take out a loan to cover most expenses, and they have started preparing their home for a baby. However, the overall cost will reach nearly $50,000, which is a challenging amount for many families to cover out-of-pocket.

While they are determined to find their future child no matter what stands in the way, there are immediate expenses such as a home study and agency fees, that could slow down the process and make this immediate opportunity challenging to accept. After years of waiting and trying, they are eager to take this chance, which is the best chance they've ever had to start their family.

Heather and Greg have been together for 10 years and married for 7. Heather worked with children, as a preschool teacher and camp director, for a decade. She has always had a heart for adoption and fostering. She's already considering fostering a child in a few more years. Now a journalist in Raleigh, she works full-time uncovering North Carolina history  and serving her community by highlighting stories of people spreading kindness and positivity. She co-founded a non-profit while in her 20s , and has always been passionate about volunteerism and kindness -- a passion she hopes to instill in her future child.

She once wrote in 'An Open Letter to My Future Adopted Child :'

"Although I don’t know who you are or if you’ve even been born yet, I am anxious to meet you. I daydream about you all the time. I cry because you aren’t here with me quite yet.

I want to assure you: No matter who you are, we were created for each other."
