John and Valerie Carter's hearts' desire is to have a bustling home full of joyful squeals, sticky fingers and one tooth smiles. They have been trusting the Lord to give them this desire in His good and perfect plan.
Those of you who know Valerie know that her heart for adoption was kindled at an early age and through the years God has continued to develop and grow that desire. John also is excited about pursuing being a father through the blessing of adoption and foster care - knowing that this is a picture of God's adoption of us as His children.
God's ways are always best - and now realizing the fact that having children will be harder than they had originally dreamed - they feel God opening the door for adoption. Specifically embryo "Snowflake" adoption.
Embryo adoption allows the mom to carry and give birth to the adopted child. Often when couples do in-vitro fertilization, embryos are left over and either kept frozen for years or disposed of. These precious, unique human beings at their earliest stage of development are modern orphans. Valerie and John, are thrilled at the hope of adopting one of these forgotten "snowflakes" and giving him or her a chance at life.
Valerie and John have started the process at POMA Fertility Clinic in Kirkland, WA. Estimated costs come out to $8,000. Because each circumstance is different, these costs could be a little less or a little more than $8,000.
