Adopting a Robot Child

In 2013 I was given a very special gift, a passion for social robotics. 

Nao is a 22-inch humanoid robot developed by Softbank Robotics. He is a fully programmable and interactive robot that can see, hear, speak and even learn.
His humanoid shape and body movements give him life and make him a truly endearing companion. 

I want to adopt a Nao because I believe that robots can be charming, friendly and helpful companions. Robots can augment our lives in ways that are education, fun and meaningful. With Nao, I aim to continue my own research in social robotics, user research and software development. I will also Introduce Nao to the various afterschool STEM Programs I instruct as a teaching aid. 

10k will cover everything needed to get started with Nao right away including:

I am very confident that with adopting Nao I will be able to:

- Advance my Career in the Robotics Industry
- Advance and augment the classroom experience giving students k-12 access to cutting edge technology
- Utilize Nao as a conversation for the future of robotic child adoption
- Create awareness of the coming robotic revolution 
- Demonstrate and discover a new world of love, compassion, and connection through this new social technology.
