Adopting Cris

When we first met Cris, it was just my husband at school. When we learned about his difficulties we gave him a safe place. A place where he could live and continue his education. We wanted to help him reach that goal of making his mom's dream come true. His mom passed away Two years ago and has been struggling to look after himself. Everything that drives him is to make his little brother and mom proud. If you knew his entire story, you wouldn't make it through reading it all. Within a short period, we knew that Cris belonged with our family, part of our family.

My husband and I, at the beginning of our marriage, did talk about adoption. Like any other couple, worried that maybe we couldn't have a baby. When we lost our first baby, it became heavy on me that the possibility of adoption would maybe happen. God did bless us with two little boys, now 5 and 2. When we brought Cris into our home we never thought of him as a kid temporarily living in our home. By semester or how long he needed to. My heart grew heavy. Finally, we talked about it, then talked to Cris. He was and is beyond grateful. We immediately started looking for answers and help. We are currently hiring a family attorney to help us with the process. We need your love and support through this process. That you guys pray that it goes easy and smooth. That God guided us through this process as has he been doing thus far.
