Please join Adoptees For Justice and help us raise $10,000 to provide emergency relief for impacted adoptee community members without citizenship!
Adoptees who have been deported or are living without citizenship in the U.S. may struggle to find work, have complex, untreated medical needs, and are not able to access public benefits, despite having paid into these benefits through taxes. They are often forced to choose between maintaining housing or addressing other urgent needs.
One deported adoptee without citizenship recently shared, “Due to the language barrier, I’ve struggled to keep a job here. I have a serious medical condition, and am currently homeless. I’m doing everything I can to survive, so I can hopefully come home someday.”
Adoptees For Justice currently has a waiting list of adoptees without citizenship who have critical support needs. Emergency relief funds will help impacted community members pay for expenses such as housing, medical care, transportation, and food. All funds raised will go directly to support adoptees without citizenship to meet basic daily living needs and access legal support.
$25 provides one (1) week of groceries
$50 supports cell phone coverage for one (1) month, enabling calls and messaging with loved ones
$100 assists with the cost of medications for one (1) month to help manage a chronic medical condition
$500 pays one (1) month of rent
$1,000 covers legal fees for one (1) citizenship application
Please donate, share this fundraiser with your family and friends, and personally invite others to give. Join us in supporting our impacted community members who are struggling as a result of not having citizenship, as we continue to organize and advocate to win citizenship for adoptees through passage of the Adoptee Citizenship Act in the 117th U.S. Congress!

Adoptees For Justice (A4J) is an intercountry adoptee-led organization whose mission is to educate, empower, and organize transracial and transnational adoptee communities to achieve just and humane adoption, immigration, and restorative justice systems. We envision a world where every person thrives in a safe and supportive environment in which communities of color, immigrants, and adoptees are liberated from all forces of injustice, with full citizenship for all. Our first project is to educate, organize and advocate for passage of the Adoptee Citizenship Act in the U.S. Congress, with a pathway home for deported adoptees to be reunited with their loved ones.
A4J is a project of the National Korean American Service and Education Consortium (NAKASEC), a 501c3 organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
