Hi everybody!
As you know it has always been our hope for me to adopt Maggie Blake and make our family as whole as we think it deserves to be. We have recently visited with a lawyer to discuss how much it is going to cost, and it is going to come in a lot higher than what we thought. If we are able to get everything done uncontested it is going to cost us a minumum of $900. And while we hope that is the way it goes, we are not trying to get our hopes up too much.
So why now?
Maggie is going to be starting school soon enough, and we want her to have her proper last name by the time she starts. We want her to go into Kindergarten learning that her last name is Di Bona, and not having to wonder why she is the only one with a different last name. It is a minor thing, a last name, but it can be a huge one. We know who her dad is, and so does she, so we are just looking for a little help to complete everything in a legal sense.
This family is no stranger to adoption, and we all know that love is what matters. Anything you could give us to help out would be amazing. Thank you all, we love you more than you know.
