Dear Family, Friends, & Friends of Friends,
Our names are Jared & Meredith Simon and we have been trying for 7 years to have children. We’ve recently been chosen to adopt a baby boy, due this spring. To cut to the chase, we’re asking for 3 things from you to help us in our adoption:
1. Prayers

We were married in 2006. Jared joined the US Air Force the same year and we began our married life far away from home. After two difficult deployments, and lots of prayers, we decided it was not the right time for us to have children while in the service. It was a difficult lifestyle & we believed it was best for any children we would have to wait until we were out of the service. In 2010, we separated from the service & God brought us home to Ohio. Unfortunately, the economy was at its worst and it took 2-3 years to establish ourselves & get to a point where we were secure enough to start a family. In 2013, we finally felt that we were in a stable enough place to have children. Two unsuccessful years later, Meredith started experiencing health complications from Endometriosis that attacked her lungs which baffled a long line of highly trained doctors. To make a very long & painful 3 year story short, Meredith underwent several surgeries to drain recurrent fluid from her right lung and three months of unsuccessful chemotherapy treatments. All this culminated in major abdominal surgery to remove a cantaloupe sized fibroid, several other smaller fibroids, & Endometrial lesions from Meredith’s diaphragm, lung, appendix, and other areas. The fibroids left Meredith’s right fallopian tube damaged and unrepairable. After being cleared by surgeons, we underwent In-Vitro Fertilization. We were blessed to get pregnant with twins, but only after a short time, we lost our babies. As a result of Meredith’s multiple surgeries & chemotherapy treatments, we unfortunately cannot have our own children.
In 2018, we connected with an adoption agency that serves the state of Ohio. After nearly two years of rejections, in November 2019, we were finally chosen by a birth mother! We are so very excited & thankful to be chosen! However, if you’re not familiar with adoption, it is a very expensive undertaking, to the tune of $25,000 to $30,000. After all our medical costs and infertility treatments, we need help! Please help us give this baby boy a bright future!
