Hi my name is Rebecca McKinney and this summer I will be travelling to Cambodia for 5 weeks to volunteer with UCD Volunteer Overseas in the MOEI Education Project. My role within this project is to teach English as a second language to students attending local free community schools, to a range of different ages.

I will be covering my own expenses for the trip, including flights, vaccinations and various other costs. This ensures that your generous donations going straight to support this fantastic cause.

The MOEI project was initially formed in 2008 to provide intensive English-language education for migrant children and adults from Burma located along the Moei River section of the Thai-Burma border.

I am so excited to be involved in this project as I am currently in the second year of my Masters of Education. Within this masters I have been teaching English and History to secondary school students. Therefore, I am hoping to carry some of these skills with me to volunteering in Cambodia.
