Hello we are Seth and Lori Adgate. We live in Madison, Alabama with our three children, Legend, Cash and London.
After many years of praying, we finally feel it’s time to begin our adoption journey! We both felt called to adopt after visiting Africa on mission trips as young adults. Our hearts were brought to life in new ways and adopting internationally became something we knew we would do one day. We have patiently waiting for the Lord to reveal to us when to begin our journey and this summer, God began showing us it was time to begin!
We believe with all of our hearts adoption is a calling from God. While we know many do not have a desire to adopt, we believe everyone is called to support orphans. Right now it is estimated there are 153 million orphans worldwide. Our goal through our adoption is not only to bring our beautiful daughter home, but to help inform others of adoption and share ways we can support others in their adoption processes.
We learned early on that the cost of adoption is high. In the end our adoption will cost around $40,000 to complete. To our human minds, this number could be overwhelming, but we know our God is greater!
We have broken our fundraising up into phases. In our first phase, we believed for $8,000. we are happy to say God provided that and more, two months faster then we planned. This money wend go towards our home study, as well as our contract fees due to our placement agency.
We are now onto phase two of this fundraising journey! we are believing God for $13,000! We know this a huge chunk of money and we cannot wait to see how God provides!
