Hi everyone, my name is Nicole, and I'm lacing up my running shoes for the AJ Bell Manchester half marathon on May 31st. I'm running to raise funds for my amazing best friend, Olivia Kemp, the most supportive Nan, Carol Kemp and Olivia’s incredible mum, Adele Kemp, who was recently diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer. I'm also hoping to shine a light on ovarian cancer, a cause that's incredibly close to my heart.
Adele, Carol, and Olivia mean the world to me, and seeing them face this challenge has been heartbreaking. I want to do everything I can to wrap them in love and support, showing them they're not alone. By raising awareness for ovarian cancer, I hope to help others catch it early, giving them a better chance at fighting this tough disease. It's so important that more people know the symptoms so that diagnoses can happen sooner.
The money we raise will go straight to supporting Adele, Carol, and Olivia, helping them with whatever they need during this difficult time. Whether it's medical expenses, making memories together, or just easing their everyday worries, I want to make sure they feel cared for. We'll also be donating a portion to ovarian cancer research, so we can help find better ways to detect and treat this disease in the future. Every little bit helps, and together, we can make a real difference in their lives and the lives of others affected by ovarian cancer.
