Two years ago after genetic testing, MRIS, EEGS, therapies , doctors appointments and fighting to find an answer we got the diagnosis that Addalyne has level 3 Autism and a genetic duplication of the chromosome 721.11.
We have tried therapy after therapy including ABA, speech, OT and PT… none of which has seemed to help. With both diagnosis I have still felt in my heart and soul that there is so much more going on and I havent been able to find a doctor here that will push further, we have had insurance tell us they will no longer cover therapy because she isn’t progressing…. I have felt so defeated and broken for her.
Just a few weeks ago my dad gave me the contact information of a world renowned doctor in California. This doctor specializes with care for patients, especially children, with ASD and other neurological disorders. She has finally given me hope that there might be something out there to help my Addy. Today I received information on a treatment that is fairly new and hard to find, it’s called PrTMS, the doctor sent me this message:
“I want you to have faith and believe that this will work on her. It will also make you feel good that you have tried everything. You are a good mom and you can do this. I am very excited .”
I would love to try this procedure with Addalyne and my dad has offered to help pay for it, insurance will not cover it. In doing this procedure I will have to be in California for at least 10 days. Addy will have to have treatment 2 times a day for 10 days. This will require me to miss a lot of work and travel far.
I have never been one to ask for money but I’m hoping to find some help to fund the expenses that I will need to do this treatment for Addy. I hate to ask but the treatment and travel will be over $6,000 and I’m not sure if I can come up with it on my own. I will also be taking at least two weeks off without pay and I need to make sure I keep my bills up to date. I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t try to do what is best for Addalyne. Thank you all so much ❤️
