Hi, I’m Irene Hutcheon, founder of Adaptive Peaks.
Adaptive Peaks is a small, therapy-based program in the Bow Valley that uses recreation to help people with disabilities build confidence, independence, communication, and meaningful connections.
I work one-on-one with individuals and their families to create personalized programs based on their goals. Whether we’re climbing, biking, hiking, skiing, swimming, or out in the community, every activity has a purpose. Recreation is the tool we use to build physical, emotional, social, and life skills.
I’ve seen people learn to regulate their emotions, communicate their needs, gain confidence, become more independent, and try things they never thought they could do. Watching those moments is why I started Adaptive Peaks.
I’m fundraising to help Adaptive Peaks continue to grow and stay accessible for the people who need it most.
Your donation will help support:
* Adaptive equipment
* Therapy-based training and certifications
* Program development
* Community events
* Financial assistance for participants
* Additional support staff as the program grows
Every donation goes right back into the program and helps create more opportunities for people with disabilities to build confidence, independence, and connection through recreation.
Adaptive Peaks isn’t a big organization. It’s just me, and I’m passionate about creating opportunities that make a real difference in people’s lives. Thank you for believing in what I’m building and for helping make these programs possible.
