Hi, we are a group of Occupational Therapy students at UVM with ties to the adaptive sports community. As a part of our advocacy class, we are using our project and resources to help repair Courtney's recovered adaptive trike that was stolen and disassembled in the Burlington, VT area. Adaptive bikes not only serve as recreational equipment, for many it is a mode of transportation, a mobility device, and can impact quality of life. This equipment is typically customized to the individual and very expensive which increases the barriers for maintaining and replacing them if broken or stolen. Money raised will go towards fixing Courtney's bike. Any additional funds will be put aside in case others in the community are impacted by similar circumstances.
