Adams Family Adoption Puzzle Fundraiser
Donation protected
Sarah and Kevin started their adoption journey on May 30 and received the call that would change their lives on June 3rd! With one phone call they learned that an incredible mother in Maryland/Washington D.C. chose them to be her sons parents. They dropped everything to join their son Noah in Washington D.C. to start their journey as parents.
Noah Hall Adams, born June 1, was 4 lbs. 6oz. and 6 weeks premature. He spent 2.5 weeks in the NICU and has finally made the journey home back to Missouri.
During this time family and friends have asked what they can do to help and support Sarah and Kevin. Though they would never ask for financial assistance, the expenses for adoption are quite high ($35,000 - $50,000) and have included a 3 week stay in a hotel in Maryland. Additionally, both Sarah and Kevin will need to take unpaid FMLA in order to stay home with Noah during his first 3 months of life. This is such an important time for them to spend together as a family and they will engage on this journey without the financial support of their monthly paychecks. This is how people can help.
With that in mind, I have decided to do a puzzle fundraiser to help Sarah and Kevin raise money for the adoption process and the expenses that come along with it. So far Sarah and Kevin have had to pay the usual agency fee along with home study fees, legal fees, and travel expenses (gas, food, hotel stay, etc.). Sarah and Kevin are going to need all the support they can get along the way!
I've have created this GoFundMe campaign for them (against their wishes) and will order a 520 piece puzzle. For every 25 dollars a person donates to Sarah and Kevin's campaign I will be putting their name (and if possible a short message) on one puzzle piece. You can purchase as many puzzle pieces as you would like! Once completed, I plan to purchase a double glass frame the puzzle and present it to Sarah and Kevin to display in their home. This will be a visual representation of how many people have supported them through this journey and love them.
Thank you to all of their family and friends who have supported Sarah and Kevin on this journey. From Sarah and Kevin, "Noah, we loved you before we even knew you and now we love you more than words can express. You are the greatest gift!"
